Nineth Annual Chocolate Gala Benefit Event
The Frederick Sister Cities Association is pleased to announce the Ninth Annual Chocolate Gala, a benefit event to be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, at the Cultural Arts Center of Frederick County, located at 15 N. Market Street in downtown Frederick, Maryland.
The Chocolate Gala is a community event that allows the public to taste the finest in chocolate confections. Chefs and chocolatiers from throughout the region showcase their best creations in a competition setting. These delicacies coupled with good music and the company of good friends will make the evening one to be cherished and remembered.
The 2010 event's theme is "Celebrate Spring". The designated beneficiary for 201 is the Youth Ambassador for Peace program. Each year, the Frederick Sister Cities Association selects one or more young adults to visit one of three official sister cities for the City of Frederick as an educational and outreach experience.
Another highlight of the evening is the unveiling of the 2010 chocolate sculpture created especially by the Hospitality and Culinary Institute at Frederick Community College. In addition, a silent auction featuring artwork, vacation packages, gift certificates and other unique items will take place.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. This year, we are offering group tables of 8 at the discounted rate of $200.00 per table. Invite co-workers, family and friends to join us in the pleasure of tasting chocolate!
